picoTurbo Welcomes 11 New Partners To DesignerNet Program

MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 2001--picoTurbo today announced that 11 companies have joined its DesignerNet(TM) program, demonstrating widespread support for SOC design and embedded solutions from a cross-section of industry providers.

The 11 new member companies include Ahura Technology, Comit Systems, DCM Technologies, EPI, iWave Systems, MindTree Consulting, Monterey Design Systems, QThink, Trinc, VirageLogic and Viscid Design Technologies.

``The DesignerNet program promotes strategic alliances among key players in every phase of SOC design and embedded space -- all joining forces to offer complete solutions to semiconductor manufacturers and system OEM customers,'' said Bruno Kajiyama, vice president of marketing for picoTurbo. ``As membership growth continues, DesignerNet increases the number of design resources with the tools, training and experience to implement quality SOC designs based upon our picoTurbo cores, as well as raising the bar throughout the industry for SOC design technology and embedded microprocessor applications.''

With a total of 20 partners up to date, DesignerNet incorporates each key area of SOC design:

Launched by picoTurbo in 2000, the DesignerNet industry program enables, promotes and supports partner companies in providing advanced system-on-a-chip (SOC) and embedded solutions to licensees of picoTurbo microprocessor cores.

DesignerNet partners can have early access to picoTurbo's synthesizable, high-performance and Turn-key IP(TM) solutions, product promotions and services, as well as technical support and joint marketing opportunities. The company's microprocessors, designed for standards-based applications, enable customers to leverage existing third-party software for mobile, wireless, consumer, networking and embedded devices.
